It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bridget Alicia Ali (nee Wong) on October 21, 2025.
Bridget was a devout and passionate Catholic woman, who shared her blessings with everyone she knew. She was the loving and devoted wife of Raymond Ali (pre-deceased), and a beloved mother to Sabrina (Roger), Keith, Lucy (Wally) Gairy (Sherry) and Corinne (pre-deceased)(Andre). She was a cherished grandma to Andrew (Aniaya), Amanda, Jayden, Justin, Maya, Jordan, Kyle, Aidan, Nicholas and Alicia. A great grandmother to Rexton, Rayla and Elianna. A dear sister to Murlene (pre-deceased), Gordon (pre-deceased), Katie (pre-deceased), John Peter (pre-deceased), Locksley (pre-deceased), Julian, (pre-deceased), Raymond (pre-deceased) and Philip. Aunty to many, who she love immensely.
Bridget’s warmth, strength, and love of family will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and the many lives she touched with her kindness and unwavering care.
Friends will be received on Tuesday October 28th, 2025 from 5 - 8 pm. Mass will be held at St Francis de Sales Church (1001 Ravenscroft Rd #4, Ajax, ON L1T 4X1) at 10:30 am

No words can express the deep sorrow I feel at the passing of my dearest Aunt Bridget.
In many ways, she was more a mother to me than an aunt, if only because she was my first caregiver when my parents posted me off at ten to the Coastland to attend school.
I remember her first as a glamourous, gorgeous vital young woman, dressed in her Fogarty's green and white uniform, perfectly turned out as she left for work every day.
But that image quickly faded when she assumed the role of young wife, then mom to my cousins Keith, Sabrina, Lucy, Gairy and Corinne (who recently transitioned after a long courageous battle with cancer).
She was exemplary as a mom and as a homemaker, ensuring that we were all well taken care off, always busy working to that end (like her mom). I can't ever remember her sitting down to rest during the day, which sometimes extended way after sunset, at most times, being the last to retire to bed and the first to rise, before the sun, to send Uncle Brown off to work, well fed and well dressed to face the day as the breadwinner of our family.
I refer to her as a sweet soul and that is what she was, for all the time I knew her. I can't remember ever hearing her complain or fret about anything, though there was much reason for her to do so.
She instead faced the daily challenges of wife, mom and homemaker with consistent creativity, resilience, patience, positivity and most of all, a joy which stemmed I believe from her natural love and zest for life itself.
Yes, she embodied that trait and those in her presence could not help being touched by the energy which she emanated to the end.
Her sweet soul now soars with the angels, where it belongs, its rightful place. I know she looks down on all of us who she loved easily and generously, but more so her children and grandchildren, my cousins, to whom I send my condolences, with much love, blessings and hugs.
May her memory continue to give you solace and inspire you to make your world and that of your loved ones a better, joyful place as she did until her last day.
May her sweet soul rest in peace.

I had the fortune to meet Bridget & Raymond on a visit to Toronto in the 1980s. I am one of the daughters of her half-brother (the late) Clinton Wong and wish to send my condolences to all Bridget's family and hope the pain of her passing is soon replaced with memories of the happy times you spent together.
